Prompt: A Major Event
Pages Read 35-80

        The major event that happened in the pages I have read was that Cal killed his boss. I will tell you how this happened after cal findes his brother they go back to there camp site they are expecting to have James become a full on citizen and Cal getting raised to one of the biggest position in the community. When they wake up Cal runs over to the leader of the community to get raised from that horrible dag kennel. But when Cal gets there the leader says that his brother won't be becoming a citizen but Cal could still get the rais but that would mean he would have to leave his brother and go to a new community. Cal turnes the offer down and goes back to work to that horrible dag kennel were they teach stray dogs to become an aggressive attack dog.

        When Cal went back to the dog kennel his boss Quarles gives him a job to go and retrieve this stray dog that they want to tran to be an attack dog. So Cal follows his orders and goes looking for the dog when he finally finds the dog Cal sees that he had a name tag his name was Bear. Right away Bear warms up to Cal and forces Cal to play and pet him. They were playing for a very long time and finally Cal driftes to sleep when he woke up he remembers that Quarles will be looking for him and he will be very angry. So Cal finds Bear and grabs onto his colar but it was to late Cal sees Qurales jeep coming up the hill. He was furious he bunches and slaps Cal a couple of times but Cal does not fight back. Then finally Cal throws a punch and hits Quarle in the jaw at that moment Quarle pulled a gun out of his pants and aims it at Cal. Right before Quarle was able to pull the trigger bear attacks him and Quarle drops the gun Cal lunges for the gun. Quarle had Bear in a corner and takes a knife out of his other pocket and is about to kill bear but Cal then pulls the trigger pointed at Quarle and hits him dead on.

       When Cal gets back up he goes to inspect Quarle his body was lifeless. Right then and there he startes running to find his brother to tell him that they need to get out of town before the soldiers realize Quarle passing. Cal tries to leave Bear but bear follows him into town. When Cal gets to town he tells his brother that they need to pack and leave.  After they were done packing they busted throught the town walls and try to make a brake for the outside world!

        

The Darkest Path December 12 2013

Prompt: What the book is about

     The book I am reading is The Darkest Path written by Jeff Hirsch. The book is about when the government is fighting citizens, ex soldiers, and anyone that believes that the government needs to change. The group of rebellions name is the Glorious Path and the Glorious Path has the own religion and rules. When the Glorious Path takes over a government camp or village they give the citizens a choice either join or die!

     The main characters name is Cal he has a brother them and their family were captured and had to join the glorious path (They never sad what happend to the parents). In the beging of the book Cal is trying to help this government base that is going to be raided by the rebellions. Cal and his brother don't like the glorious path but they have to stay with them to live so cal will try to help the government as much as he can. The camp did not listen to hi and by the time they did it was to late and the glorious path was already banging down the doors.

     When Cal was on his way to the government camp he was hurt badly by a man that was at a different camp. The man broke Cals arm and gave him some bad scares on his face. Luckily the glorious path as some what good hospitals and was able to give him a cast and help with the scares. When Cal got back to his own camp he finds his brother and gives him something that his brother needs desperately and something that is not that cheep or common to find an inhaler. His brother has asma and is occasionally in the hospital the doctores do not have any inhalers to help so the only thing they can to is prey!

   

The Giver: Week of the December 2

         What happened in the book was first Gabriel had to go back to Jonas's room to sleep because he wouldn't sleep any where els. Jonas's dad started getting more skeptical about having to relise Gabriel. Also Jonas stopped taking the pills because he could not go back to the none feeling world. Then the day after they had a unplanned holiday and he went to play with his friends when he sees then playing a war game and jonas freaks out and walks away.

          When Jonas goes to the Giver the next day he asked about the girl Rosemary that was the last receiver. The giver told him the the last girl asked to be released and at that time the could not refuse. The Giver also told him that the girl was his daughter and he never saw her again. Then jonas found out that a child was going to be released and he wanted to see it happen so the giver showed him the tape. So then Jonas saw that his dad gave the baby a should in the forehead that killed the baby.

          When jonas found out he did not go home but stayed with the giver for the night. When they were eating dinner the giver tells him a plane that he had to change the government. He wanted Jonas to leave the community so all his memories leave him and go back to the citizens. So Jonas left the next night and took Gabriel because his dad was going to relise him in the morning. Jonas and Gabriel road there bikes and walked for days, weeks. When they were about to die in a snow storm he sees the sled in the first memorie he had. He took Gabe and slid down the hill to see the house with a christmas tree.

The Giver: Week Of 11/18/13

            The book I am currently reading is The Giver so fair it has been a good book. It has a very strange setting and concept. Its about a child named Jonas he lives in a utopia society and the rules are very different from are society. Examples of this are that they are not allowed to have there own children and there children are given to them by the government.

            So far jonas has descried to us how the society works and runs and told us all of their rules. He also has told us about his familie and there rituals that they have to take on an every day bases. Jonas has also told us that the government controlled most of their rights and lots of there freedoms that we would have in are modern life.

            Another really important thing that jonas talkes about is the annual cerimonies that substitut for are birthdays. He tells us that everyone is the same age and at the age of 12 that are considered adults and thats when they start their first and only jobs they will have. Also he told us what school were like and what they did for school. The last thing he has told us is that how the government gave them there jobs and if you are released you are a fool and you are let go out of the society.

          

Eleventh Plague Week of: 11/11/13 Spoiler

            In the book Stephans dad ends up never waking up and dying in the middle of winter. Stephen was devastated Jenny tried to help him but he just pushed away. After he bared his dad him and Jenny went back to Settlers Land and found out that they had hired the same slavers that caused his dad to die to help them defeat there rival camp that they were going to go to war with.

           Stephen knew that the slavers were just going to kill both the rival camp and settlers land. So Him and Jenny were going to tell the citizens of settlers land to stop the slavers. Him and Jenny were going to try and blow up the army trucks and try and give settlers land a fighting chance.

           Settlers land was able to pull together and beat the slavers and push them away. But the slavers were able to destroy and bring death to settlers landing. Settlers landing ended up having to ask help from there rival camp. In the end settlers landing went back to normal and Stephen was able to live a normal life just like he has always wanted.

Eleventh Plague Week of November 4th 2013

Prompt: A turning point

      The setting of this article is now the beginning of winter. Stephen has seen the first snow since he was 8 years old. He and his friend Jenny played a prank on Henry (Stephens bully) and blamed it on the near by camp.

      The loving and peaceful town ha now turned to a violent ticking bomb to blow up on the nearby camp. Stephen and Jenny now have to flee and run to an abandoned casino. It was the hardest decision because he now has to leave his dad behind in a future war.

       They now have to what until the conflict is either settled or calmed down. When Stephen was taking a walk he sees someone running to the casino were Jenny was stil sleeping. It ended up being Violet she came to tell Stephen that his dad was not going to be safe there and something very bad was going to happen.  

Eleventh Plague: Week Of October 28 2013

Prompt: Main Character

     The Main Characters of this book are A 15 year old boy that was born after the collapse. He is a very menatally strong boy and wants to know what it was like when his parents were young. His mom died when he was very young and his grandfother was a drunk and ended up diying. He has a very small anger management and will get very angry if you threaten him or his dad.

      Another main charecter is Stephens father. He is a very strong willed man and he dosent give up easily. He wantes Stephen to get an egucation and do something with his life. Stephens dad was the one how fell down the gorge and is now in a deep coma.

       The other minure characters are Violet a very nice lady that now takes care of Stephen will his dad is in a coma. Another minure character is Justin Stephens new best friend that he hangs out with all the time. He also is Violtes son justin also has a little step sister that is named jenny she likes to get into trouble and is very ignorant.

Eleventh Plague Week Of October 21 2013

Prompt: What has happened

           The story is about when the hole world collapses from war. The people are ether scavengers, traders, burglars, slave owners, and for the lucky ones settlers. The main character is a fifteen year old boy named Stephen and also his father. Stephen and his father find a war plane and go to look for stuff that they can trade for other goods.

          When they were looking for things a group of slave owners came and camped for the night with two slaves. Stephens dad felt sympathy for the slave and he tried to save them when the slave owners were sleeping. When he was almost done freeing them one of the slave owners woke up and chased Stephen and his dad into the woods. It was dark and Stephens dad couldn't see ant thing and when they were running his dad fell into a ravine 40 feet down. Stephens dad went into a coma with several broken bones.

           Then Stephen rushed to asiste his dad and try's to heal is bones. While he was helping his dad he hears some people coming tords the gorge. So Stephen rushed to his dads gun and hide behind a rock and stayed there until they were in sight.  when they walked into his path he pulled the trigger but only hit one of the guys leg.

Wereworld Rage Of The Lion: Week Of 10/14/13

Prompt: What has happened

         This is what happened from pages 100-135. Drew got out of Lyssia so he can go and find his friend Gretchen and he is traveling with his friend Whitley. They have found out that the corpse was right and that they were heading the right way. They are one day behind the kid nappers and it is becoming night so they have to make up for the lose of time.

         Back in Lyssia Hector stayed back to take the heat for letting Drew leave. Bergan the bear lord was furies he was utterly  upset and disappointed in Hector. The Bear Lord had no choice but to remove hector from the council. Hector was so disappointed that he just went to his house and stayed in the house.

         Hector has been seeing shadows in the dark ever since he talked to the dead corpse. Some of these shadows were nice some were evil. One day late at night he could not go to sleep because he kept hearing the shadows giggling and laughing ant him. Hector was so scared and terrified but it just ended up being hectors brothers bodyguards hector was really angry at them for scaring him.

 

Will The Lady Or The Tiger be released

               Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right and openend it. The crowd gasped when he opened the door and in a split second a girl comes running out and hugs the lover.  At that moment the crowd roars with excitement, the church bells ring and the chorus starts singing for the soon to be wedded couple. Everyone was cheering except for the princess who had a look of confusion on her face because she meant to give him the door with the tiger in it. The lover was the only one that was able to see the sadness in the princesses face. He didn't have to think about it twice  and in a split  second he turns around and runs to the left door and opens it. The crowd was stunned because they have never seen someone take there own life instead of marring a beautiful woman. The whole crowd was touched by this and were especially angry at the king because he took away a love so strong. Then the crowd started threatening the king and the king had no choice but to leave his thrown.        

Wereworld Rage of Lions: Week Of 10/7/13

Prompt: The most important event
Pages Read 76-100


 I think the most important event was when Hector Drew's best friend gave life to a died corpse to find where they took Gretchen. This kind of thing giving people life again was outlawed and was illegal through the 11 realms and that you can get arrested for doing it. The corpse they were rising from the died was one of the lion lords that abused Drew whenever he had a chance.

   Another resign why it was so important was because now they know that the lion lord took Gretchen. If they didn't give him life then they wouldn't where to look or go to try and find Gretchen. So if they didn't do that then the story would just drag and will take a long time for them to find out where they had to go to find her. The bad thing was that he will always have a mark on his had that is proof that he this evil thing.

    The last reason why it was so important was because it put suspense into the book. When he was raising the man he was moaning in pain and he was not feeling good. Also This kind of magic has had a history of backfiring on the man that controlled the corpse and sometimes the corpse goes crazy. The another thing was that the corpse started yelling in pain like it was still alive and hector was stuck in the middle of the afterlife and the real world and Drew had to slap him to get him out of the trance.

 

 


 

  

Wereworld Rage of Lions : Week of 9/30/13

Prompt: Describe A character you would like to meet
Pages read 1-76


               A character I would like to meet in the rage of lions is Drew. The reason why I would like to meet Drew is because he is very adventurous and very brave. In the book Drew is a young soon to be king that can morph into a wolf if he gets angry or afraid. He has to find his friend Gretchen after getting kid napped by the used to be king Leopold of Lysia before drew over- through him in a battle.

            Drew is brave because  he is going to try and save his friend even though he knows he will be facing his biggest fear king Leopold. Also he will be facing some of Leopolds friends like wererats and the still loyal werelions. Yet he wont go by himself he will be accompanied my his friend Hector a wereboar and so
me other werelords like the werebear the wereshark and others fellow werelords.

                Some questions I would ask Drew would be how does it feel when he forms into a wolf I asked this question because I always her people saying that it is horrible forming into a wolf and some say that there is no pain. Another question I have is why does only silver hurt you and nothing els I ask this question because there has always been different theories of why silver hurts them but never a real solid answer. Some other questions I h
ave are can you completely in control of your transformation and also how long do you live for I asked these questions because I have never herd an answer and that they both interest me.          

  

My Favorite Book of all time

My favorite book of all time is Hatchet the reason why I liked this book was becouse is had lots of action it was about this kid that was in a plane going to see his dad in the Candian mountians and then the plane crashes in the mountians and he has to survive out in the wild all by himeself for 95 days. when he was finally found he was never the same he always wanted to go back to the mountians becouse in his mind it seamed more like home then in the city.
