Josh,
Josh is the main character in this book. He is a very hard working and
respectful boy. He would always be the first one at the practice and the last
one to leave and whenever he is at a friends house he has such good manners
that the parents want to keep Josh. Throughout the book Josh is starting to
feel like he is responsible for his families finances because with his talent
he is capable of getting sponsorships that will help out with his families
finical problems. Don't get me wrong the parents are trying very hard to get
out of this problem but there main way to get rid of this problem is to ride on
the back of Joshes talent. So basically Josh has a huge responsibility to take
care of his family.
Jaden,
Jaden is on of Joshes closest friends. She is also a writer for the newspaper
back in their hometown. She goes to every one of Joshes games she says only
because she needs something to write about but others think that she only goes
because she likes Josh and want to watch him play. Jaden is a very polite and
is a really good friend she is so polite sometimes she is considered more
polite then Josh. She is also like a spy for the Titans what she does is go to
the other game and ask around and find out what the other teams game plan is
and stuff like that. So in all Jaden has a huge impact on the book because she
is always supporting Josh and is always mentally positive.
The
third character that I want to talk about is Joshes dad. Joshes dad is the head
coach of the Titans. He is one of the main reasons why Josh is playing baseball
he is very supportive of Josh and only wants what’s best for Josh. Joshes dad
used to play in the minor leagues and was a pretty good player. Like Jaden
Joshes dad is very mentally positive he always tries to find the best in things
even when there isn't much to be happy about. One thing that Joshes dad needs
some work on is putting his foot down and saying no means no. In the book when
Josh got hit in the eye Josh was able to convince him to let him play even
though josh could have been seriously hurt.
